At Anderson Ackerman Law Group, we believe that effective advocacy requires a commitment to continual learning and sharing knowledge with the disability law community. On July 21, 2026, Anderson Ackerman Disability attorney Laurel Ackerman is presenting a national Continuing Legal Education (CLE) webinar for the National Association of Disability Representatives (NADR).

10 Essential Social Security Rulings every Practitioner Should Know

The course, “10 Essential Social Security Rulings Every Representative Should Master,” focuses on some of the most important Social Security Rulings (SSRs) that govern disability claims before the Social Security Administration. During the program, attendees will learn how these rulings affect symptom evaluation, residual functional capacity (RFC) assessments, vocational findings, and past relevant work analyses, while also exploring practical strategies for identifying adjudicative errors and strengthening advocacy at both the administrative and federal court levels.

Laurel will specifically highlight how using these rulings effectively can get you wins at hearing, the appeals council, and set your client up for a strong federal court appeal.

The Importance of Knowing the Rulings

As attorneys who represent Social Security disability claimants every day, we know that mastering the Social Security Rulings (or SSRs) is about far more than understanding legal standards. These rulings often determine how evidence is evaluated, whether a claimant’s testimony is properly considered, and ultimately whether a deserving individual receives the benefits they need.

Our practice is dedicated exclusively to Social Security disability law. We represent clients throughout the disability claims process—from initial applications and administrative hearings before the Social Security Administration to appeals in the United States District Courts. The experience gained through handling these cases allows us to identify recurring legal issues and advocate effectively for our clients at every stage.

Attend the CLE Webinar!

The webinar is offered through NADR’s education program. It is $20 for members of NADR and $40 for nonmembers. Accredited Disability Representatives (ADRs) can attend for FREE! The webinar will take place on July 21, 2026 from 2:00-3:00 ET. See more information about the course here: NADR Webinar 10 Essential SSRs Every Rep Should Master

We are grateful to the National Association of Disability Representatives for the opportunity to contribute to the continuing education of disability advocates across the country. Organizations like NADR play an important role in advancing the knowledge and professionalism of those who represent Social Security disability claimants.
