Chris was raised on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. and he attended DeMatha Catholic High School in Maryland. He grew up an athlete and avid sports fan. He took those passions to the University of Mississippi where he played club lacrosse and earned his bachelor’s degree. He was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. After college, Chris was a swimming, softball, and lacrosse coach at the National Cathedral School and St. Alban’s in Washington, D.C., and at private club teams in the DMV area. Chris met his now wife while living and working in D.C. after college. He made the move down to Florida with her after her graduation from law school in 2018 and began his career in technology sales and cybersecurity, eventually serving as a national strategic account manager for a major international cybersecurity company.
In 2025, Chris joined three generations of his wife’s family business representing disability claimants before SSA, where he focuses on developing medical evidence, case coordination with SSA, and managing all aspects of claims at the Initial and Reconsideration levels and post-hearing appeals. He puts his extensive experience from strategic partnerships with distributors, service providers, and resellers in the cybersecurity space to managing the disability claims process for our clients. Growing up in our nation’s capital, Chris is no stranger to the innerworkings of government agencies, both from his upbringing in our nation’s capital and his professional experience navigating complex regulations. He has a deep understanding of how federal agencies operate allowing him to effectively advocate for our clients, anticipate challenges, and communicate with counterparts at SSA and clients in a way that fosters collaboration and confidence.
In addition to his work at Ackerman Disability, Chris also serves as the Head Coach of the Varsity Lacrosse team at Shorecrest Preparatory School. Chris and his wife, Laurel, have a toddler and two dogs, and Chris is already teaching him the game! They are avid sports fans and love to cheer on their D.C., Tampa Bay, Ole Miss, and UF teams! Chris has been a member of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club and St. Petersburg Young Professionals.
